We strive at Belle Imaging to provide the very best service to meet your requirements within your budget
We explain in ‘Photoshoot planning’ that there is a lot to decide on and organise even before the shoot, and much more time spent selecting and perfecting your images after the event. Industry convention is to quote for the time spent at the shoot itself, and our standard fee is £250 per photoshoot hour, which covers the substantial time before and after.
The actual time spent by your photographer up to delivery will be multiples of the shoot hours, much of it spent in post -production enhancement (see ‘Post-production perfection’). This is why it is crucial to discuss and plan the project from the outset with reference to your objectives and budget.
For architectural or product shoots, the number of key images might be limited, but editing and correction very time-consuming. Corporate or social events, on the other hand, might generate hundreds — or even thousands — of RAW images that require review and selection but perhaps lighter enhancement on average.
Certain events might require more than one photographer if all parts of the day or multiple key moments are to be covered. Whatever the nature of the project, we will endevour to find options to fit your budget, with clearly defined scope and focus of the shoot and of the delivered images.
Typically, we budget around 3 hours of editing time for each hour spent on the shoot session itself. This begins with pre-processing such as noise-reduction and filter application. We carefully select the best images and reject those that are superfluous or imperfect. Image-by-image adjusment invloves cropping, straightening lines, eliminating artefacts such as reflections, flare or unwanted objects, and further ensuring sharpness, brightness and correct colour balance.
We budget for this time at the planning stage so we can dedicate full attention to your project within our delivery schedule. We do not book more shoot hours than we can accommodate for our exacting post-shoot processes, so you are assured of the best possible results.
We deliver all images as agreed in the planning stage in high-quality JPG format, hosted for three months at a convenient and secure online gallery. From here they can be easily viewed, downloaded, and shared.
If you prefer a physical item for delivery, we can supply beautifully crafted USB-drives at a cost of £30 per unit.
We can also provide a service to design a physical photo album and arrange printing if required. We can discuss the cost of this service at the planning stage or even after the digital delivery is made.
The photoshoot price is not a personal fee for your photographer, and reflects the costs of operating our services. These include keeping our equipment up to date, serviced and insured, specialist editing software and hosting costs, and all other business overheads.
We ensure that your photos are kept backed-up securely in the cloud, so that if in future you lose your treasured images we should be able to retrieve them. We are also covered by public liability insurance should something go wrong on a shoot where we are found to be at fault.
